The Ford F-150 XL is a classic vehicle, one that has garnered a respectable following over the years; the revelation of an upcoming F-150 XL has created a fair amount of buzz in the right circles, with many a fan of the vehicle unsure about what to expect but having no reason to believe anything other than the fact that the 2016 Ford F-150 XL can only get better, making it an even better choice for transportation.
2016 Ford F-150 Xl Design
As far as the vehicle’s external image is concerned, fans shouldn’t expect any major changes, at least in comparison with its predecessors. Expected to retain its shape and dimensions (more or less), the new Ford F-150 XL will be presented with an all new aluminum body. And the rumor is, the vehicle will lose a whopping 700 pounds as a result, this then expected to greatly impact the F-150 XL’s performance and fuel economy.
The smooth contour lines defining the model’s roots as a Ford vehicle will remain. There should be a new black and chrome grille however, if spy photos are to be believed, along with a hood, roof section and tailgates that have been redesigned for strength in terms of style and performance (these are apparently changes that have emerged as a result of strong requests by fans of the vehicle).
Along with new pop out steps (that should simplify the process of entering and exiting the truck) and LED lights at the rear, the new F-150 XL is expected to display a marked improvement in aerodynamics.
The 2016 Ford F-150 Xl cabin is expected to be much roomier and, with the spongy leather seats (designed for durability), even more relaxing and comfortable. No expense has been spared in fitting the F-150 XLwith the latest in conventional infortainment features, this including an eight inch display, cruise control, navigation mechanisms and powerful audio systems.
Some safety attributes of noteworth bound to make an appearance will include an anti theft (security lock) system, blind spot alert mechanisms, air bags (at the front and rear) etc.
The key to the new 2016 Ford F-150 Xl’s presumed improved performance will be the twin turbo charged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine; it will be paired with a ten speed automatic transmission that will not only optimize performance but fuel efficiency, resulting in a fuel economy of 17mpg in the city (23mpg on the highway).
2016 Ford F-150 Xl Release Date and Price
There hasn’t been much in the way of official information about the price and release date of the new 2016 Ford F-150 Xl; however the vehicle should be hitting markets in the fall of 2015 and at a price tag hovering around the $25,000 mark.
