The 2016 Ford Bronco is coming to the market place soon. Currently, there are rumors swirling around that Ford has alleged plans to wake up the Bronco from his long lasting sleep. The Bronco has been in hibernation ever since its production was terminated in 1996.
Eight years after it was put to sleep, at the 2004. Detroit Auto Show, the Blue Oval Company unveiled the new Bronco concept for the first time, apprehending the attention of the old Bronco lovers. This revamped version of the vehicle was never even brought to Ford but for some apparent reason the rumor mill has been running ever since.
Now, we are a few months into 2014 and there is some good news for Broncos fans. Although most of it just remains a rumor, speculations suggest that the sixth-generation 2015 Ford Bronco is ready to make its first appearance later this year. However, it must be acknowledged that there is no official confirmation from Ford thus far.
Talking about his engine, the all-new 2016 Ford Bronco will allegedly deliver three different engine options, when and if it launches in the U.S. market. Two gasoline and one diesel, complete with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. It is most likely that the two options will be gasoline engines and will be borrowed from the current Ford F-150 full-size pickup, which means the first option will be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine that can produce up to 365 horsepower(at 5000 rpm) and 420 Nm of torque (at 2500 rpm). The second one will be a 5.0 liter V8 that delivers a maximum of 360 horse power (at 5500 rpm) and 380 Nm of torque (at 4250 rpm). Meanwhile, the existence of the third option, a 4.5 liter diesel engine, would immensely depend on the market demand. Moreover, the alleged Bronco will reportedly share the same platform as some of Fords already existing models like the Explorer and the Ranger.
When it comes to the 2016 Ford Bronco interior and the exterior design, some claim major changes are expected to occur, while other reports suggest that the sixth generation Bronco will have a similar design to its concept version. If you’re to believe the latter, the Bronco will not be completely redesigned and there will be no significant updates. But one thing we know for sure is that The Ford Company will apply all the latest and the best technologies and solutions, a rule that applies to all of their vehicles.
2016 Ford Bronco Price
As for the 2016 Ford Bronco price, we predict that the starting price could be somewhere around $29,000.
If you are to believe numerous websites and the all the hype, the new 2015 Bronco will be released either by the end of this year, or sometime in the early 2015.
When will you be able to own it and drive it? Probably never. If rumors about the 2020 model are true, maybe we will see it in the upcoming years.
Anyway, since the 2004 model never happened after the 2013 Ford Escape was introduced, it is highly unlikely that this 2004. version will ever go into production, let alone hit the streets.
But everybody is allowed to dream.
