The 2015 Lincoln MKC is a brand new compact luxury crossover for the brand. It is loosely based from the Ford Escape only with this being a Lincoln it is slightly more luxurious and therefore pricier.
2015 Lincoln MKC Exterior
The new MKC features an elegant and stylish look, enough distinctive to set it apart from the competition. Some of its excellent features include a somewhat higher beltline, expansive shoulders and a slightly lower roofline. Also the fender flares are a little sleeker than on some of its counterparts. The grille features some aero-tuned functional shutters and in its continuation are the slightly assertive LED lights.

Inside the Lincoln delivers great luxury that is always attached to their name. Leather seats and finishing wood touches on the inlays help accomplish the perception of luxury. However, some of the nonexclusive buttons and a dashboard trims do not fully comply with the luxury theme. As for the specs, the MKC comes with a MyLincoln Touch infotainment system along with an 8-inch touchscreen. The headroom and legroom of the vehicle are quite adequate and the MKC also offers an ample amount of cargo space and a wider opening to the cargo space. A pleasing 25.2-cubic feet of space is available and it can expand to 53.1-cubic feet when the back seats are folded down.
2015 Lincoln MKC Engine and Powertrain
Under the hood, only available for North America, will be a EcoBoost options consisting of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder ecoboosted engine that could produce up to 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Another option will be a brand new twin-scroll turbo 2.3-liter four cylinder that will be able to make 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. Lincoln insists that the 2.3 liter mill packs the most horsepower-per-liter in the class. Both of these engines will have a direct-injection and will be produced in the Lincoln facility in Valencia, Spain. You can get the 2.0-liter engine in a front- or all-wheel-drive model, as for the 2.3-liter, it will only be available in an all wheel drive configuration. All of the engines will be mounted to a Selectshift six-speed automatic transmission along with paddle shifts for some driving in sport mode.
2015 Lincoln MKC Price and Release Date
The release date has not yet been announced, but you can expect it to hit the showrooms early 2015 if not later this year. The starting price for the new 2015 Lincoln MKC will be $33,995.
