2015 Ford Mondeo in Europe or Ford Fusion in North America. This is essentially the same car, but Mondeo nameplate has longer history as it was produced since 1992. Year 2015 model will be a vanguard of fifth generation and should arrive to the dealers later this year.

What makes the difference between these two vehicles is the fact that Mondeo comes as both sedan and a hatchback. This lineup will be further enriched with estate model that comes in 2015. Other options will come as 1.6L I4 and 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engines that will deliver 182 and 231 hp, and 184 and 270 lb-ft of torque, respectively. Diesel options will be 1.5L and 2.0L TDCi-s and all of them will be mated to 6-speed manual or optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Besides regular models, select European markets will get Mondeo hybrid which will be moved by 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle I4 petrol engine and 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Mondeo’s exterior was refreshed back in 2012 in the US and now arrives into Europe. Mondeos now share the same wide open-mouth hexagonal grille that Fusion, Focus and Fiesta have. They also have modern lines that are complemented by thin, laid-back headlights and tail-lights.

Fuel economy ratings should stand at 25/37 mpg with 1.6L petrol engine and even higher with new 1.0L EcoBoost engine. Diesel engines should also have better economy, while hybrid is supposed to take you as far as 47 mpg combined estimated.

Prices should rise a little bit, but not too high and cheapest Mondeo should cost around $30,000 which are much higher prices than in the US. Top tier Vignale trim will go for some $50,000, while hybrid should be even more expensive.
