Ever since Ford announced the launch of the 2015 Ford F-150 XLT, more people have been looking forward to it. As affirmed by Pete Reyes, Ford F-150 chief engineer, the car would feature more improved comfort, performance and convenience as it would be constructed using more innovative concepts and ideas.
2015 Ford F-150 XLT Release Date and Price
Speaking of its release date, rumors have been going around that it will go on sale by the start of this autumn. As for the price, news sources have been claiming that it will range somewhere between $27,000 to $52,000.
2015 Ford F-150 XLT Engine
As per the statements made by Ford F-150 chief engineer, the car is expected to come with four engine options. These include; the 2.7 liter EcoBoost 6 powertrain that will be able to generate a torque of 375 pound-feet and 320 horsepower, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V6 that would be able to produce a horsepower of 360 and torque of 280 pound-feet, the 5.0 liter V8 motor that would have the potential to produce a horsepower of 360 and torque of 280 pound-feet and finally the 3.5 liter V6 engine that would be able to produce a torque of 280 pound-feet and horsepower of 300.
As per the 2015 Ford F-150 XLT interior and exterior design, the car is expected to feature high-tech components and units s such as the 360-degree camera system, energy-efficient LED lights, side-view mirror connected to a tailgate, adaptive cruise control system, driver-assist technologies, lane keeping assist system, collision mitigation systems, Ford’s Blind Spot Information System, 8-inch productivity screen featuring computer-generated graphics , fuel gauge, amp meter, tachometer, speedometer and stowable cargo lamps. In addition, the car would as well be designed with high-resistance finishes and materials to help make it more durable and strong enough to withstand corrosion and rust.
2015 Ford F-150 XLT Performance and Features
Due to the substantial upgrades that would be made in this car, it is expected that it would be more driver-friendly and versatile. Some of the main upgrades include the lane controllers that would work to assist the camera system in detecting lane markings and alerting drivers to take the appropriate measures, two high-power inverters that help in recharging power tools inside the car and powering electric equipment, Ford’s Blind Spot Information System that help in detecting and alerting drivers in case of blind spots, the 360-degree camera system that will help provide better visibility and the flat load floor and rear doors that would help make loading and unloading a bit easier. It would as well be constructed from very light materials such as aluminum and steel to help boost its performance.
