New 2014 Ford Focus is on the market. Ford Focus has always been a great car to drive, always functional and fun on the road. It was only recently that it has been outshined by some of its competition. Now with the 2014 generation, Ford is looking to retaliate. It includes premium interior, great fuel economy and an unexpected performance.
2014 Ford Focus Exterior
The new Focus exhibits a newer, more aerodynamic and a somewhat more threatening appearance. It also features a polished windshield rake and an abounding roofline. The headlights and taillights are designed in a lively manner to correspond with the aerodynamic frame of the vehicle. Wheels come in different sizes for the different trims. The standard are the 15inch wheels, while with the Titanium trim you get the 17 inch aluminum ones and 18 inch ones are available as an upgrade.

Inside, the new Focus can’t boast with the amount the room it brings, but one thing that it can certainly boast with is the interior design, a design more suited for a far more luxurious vehicle. A bunch of soft touch materials have been put to good use. The leather upholstered seats, aside from looking good, provide excellent comfort. The instrument cluster is exceptionally organized and accompanied with an 8 inch full-color touch screen along with the MyFord Touch infotainment and navigation system. In the back you can fit up to three children or two adults. The trunk on the Sedan is 13.2-cubic ft., while on the Hatchback it is 23.8 ft.
2014 Ford Focus Engine
Under the hood, there is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes an excellent 160 hp and 146 pound-feet of torque. It is mounted to a five-speed manual transmission that is standard for the S and SE models, while the six-speed automatic, named “Powershift” is optional. However, for the Titanium model it comes as a standard. The estimated EPA for the fuel economy for the automatic transmission is 27 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 31 combined, while with the manual they are slightly less, 26-city,36-hgwy and 30 combined. There is a Super Fuel Economy package that does 28/40/33.
2014 Ford Focus Price
The 2014 Ford Focus is in showrooms now with prices that range from $17,000 for the S model, $19,000 for the SE Sedan, while the SE hatchback will more around $20,000. The Titanium sedan and hatchback start at $24,000 and $25,000 and if you choose to add any of the optional feature the price should jump to $27-$28K.
